Dr. Jai Parekh, MD, MBA, FAAO

As a board-certified anterior segment eye surgeon, he founded the Center for Ocular Surface Excellence of New Jersey (COSE-NJ) and the Center for Interventional Glaucoma (CIG-NJ), which focus on treating ocular surface diseases and advancing laser and surgical glaucoma care. Dr. Parekh is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where he contributes to the Cornea Service at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

He completed his undergraduate and medical training with honors through Boston University’s Early Selection to Medical School Program. After his Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic (affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine), Dr. Parekh trained in Ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine, gaining experience at esteemed institutions like Boston City Hospital and The Children’s Hospital of Boston. He later earned his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he also traveled internationally with the university’s basketball team for the Ambassador Games.
